Why did InstaHeadshots become Magic Studio?
And where it all began.
When InstaHeadshots started as an experiment in late 2023, we had no idea it would go on to become the #1 service for professional headshots. Along the way we have learned so much from our customers, and how they use our product to make their personal brand stand out. We have created tens of millions of headshots and have come a long way in the process. But we also realized that what InstaHeadshots could be was much bigger and was not doing justice to our ambition or the stories of our customers. With InstaHeadshots becoming Magic Studio, we are now ready to take on this challenge and build the world’s best personal AI photography platform, and continue to make the world more beautiful, one photo at a time.

Yes. InstaHeadshots is now Magic Studio. The product you know is continuing under a name that gives us room to help you create more than professional headshots.
Headshots were where we started, but customers increasingly wanted more ways to create great photos of themselves. Magic Studio reflects the broader product we’re building: a personal AI photographer for professional, social, dating and other personal photos.
No. The change happens automatically, with no action or planned downtime required. Your existing login continues to work.
Log in at app.magicstudio.com using the same email address and sign-in method you used for InstaHeadshots. If you previously used Google sign-in, continue using Sign in with Google.
First, confirm that you’re using the same email and sign-in method you originally used, then check the profile menu in case your headshots belong to another profile. If you’ve tried these steps and still can’t find them, contact us at help@magicstudio.com and we’ll help you get back into the right account.
Yes. Everything currently available in your InstaHeadshots account carries over automatically, including your headshots, favourites, edited photos, high-resolution images and profiles.
Nothing changes. Your purchased packs, available downloads and remaining credits carry over to Magic Studio automatically. You don’t need to repurchase anything.
Your team, members, invitations, headshots, credits and dashboard continue to work as before. Team admins and members should log in using the same email addresses they used with InstaHeadshots.
Yes. instaheadshots.com permanently redirects to magicstudio.com/headshots, while app.instaheadshots.com redirects to app.magicstudio.com. Existing links will send you to the corresponding Magic Studio destination.
Your original Magic Studio tools account and your former InstaHeadshots account remain separate, even if they use the same email address. They are not being merged, and activity, purchases or saved work from one account will not appear in the other.
The existing tools remain available at their current URLs. The photo editor that previously opened from the Magic Studio homepage is now available at magicstudio.com/photo-editor. Continue using your existing Magic Studio tools login there.
No. The rebrand does not change the privacy or data-retention policies for your personal-photo account. Your personal AI model is still automatically deleted after 90 days, and you can delete your account from Account settings.
